ABOUT ME

I grew up in Liverpool UK the eldest of four. With three younger sisters one of whom I never saw grow up.

My mother was a housewife and my father was an ice cream salesman. They brought me up in a Christian caring happy home.

At fifteen I left home to join the navy and when I left I was a Petty Officer in the catering department, and then immigrated to Australia in 1968. I spent 29 years in the Security Industry before retiring.

As a Christian and member of the Salvation Army I have been involved in community care as a volunteer hospital chaplain and perform Church services once a month. It was whilst doing this that I decided in 2001 to become a celebrant partially due to being asked on a number of occasions to perform someone's wedding but not being able to, but also because I was asked often to perform a funeral for some of the Elderly persons that I ministered to each month at the Elderly persons hostels.

I am married for the second time and between my wife and I we have seven children (Three boys of my own and two boys and two girls of my wife’s) and twelve grand-children in all (Three on my side and six on my wife’s side) and I am very proud of everyone of them.

My love and passion is not only the Church but also music, singing, and the community. Hence my conducting Church services once a month.

This will allow me to combine my passion as a Community worker and a celebrant I will meet new people and be able to be a part of their ceremony.

I am a person with fresh ideas for all ceremonies. Please feel free to contact me.
